About Us

Behind the name Ecorad is Pierre Lemieux, a man who is passionate about cast iron works from the past and the environment.

The wasteful practice of scrapping old radiators inspired the creation of Ecorad. Pierre believed we should not allow the quality of the design and workmanship that went into their creation to be discarded and forgotten.

When Pierre retired from the automotive industry in 2007 he founded Ecorad in the beautiful village of St-Jean-Port-Joli, Quebec, Canada. Over the years Ecorad has developed an expertise in the restoration of these works of art.

In 2017, Ecorad USA Inc. was born after the acquisition of A1 Plumbing & Heating of Somerville, Massachusetts, USA. The inventories were relocated to Rocky Hill, Connecticut, which has become our hub to serve all of the United States.

Each radiator is disassembled in sections and reassembled with new seals. The interior is cleaned and the old paint is water jet blasted, which does not affect the cast iron and allows lead abatement.

Ecorad restores your radiators or we have the ones you need!
